After over 14 years, we are heartbroken to have said farewell to our beautiful, irrepressible Wookie.
He stole our hearts as a puppy and matured into such a wonderful adult. He was the only one of our dogs I named and picked the very moment he was born - it turned out to be a great decision and his registered name also turned out to suit his personality so well.
He had such a very steady temperament, affectionate nature and, coupled with his dare-devil attitude to life, his antics kept us constantly amused............he was a complete goofball.
Wookie liked to do everything at full speed and he just loved to run......his motto: run first, think later!
He had a contagious sense of fun and a superb easy-going attitude, getting on well with other males, as well as females. He was top dog in our pack for many years and was respected by all of our dogs, without exception.
He was an excellent working dog with beautiful balanced movement and he was my lead dog for many of years, helping to train all of our younger dogs.
He was my best buddy - he has left a huge hole in our pack and we miss him every day.
Wookie is a group winner. multiple Best of Breed winner, as well as being a working group placer too.
He is a multi Best of Sex & Reserve Best of Sex winner at Championship shows.
Wookie won Best Veteran Dog, Crufts 2009
