We fell in love with the Alaskan Malamute breed many years ago, but it wasn't until the early 1990's that we were finally in a position to start our search for our first Malamute.  At the time, there were very few Malamute breeders in the UK, but we did our research, went to shows/events and visited whom we considered to be the breeders producing the best Malamutes.

One of my most memorable experiences is meeting 'Boomer' - Can. Ch. Oopik's Winter Excellence at Hyteton - at Crufts dog show in 1993 - we came around a corner and saw this magnificent dog and thought he embodied all that a Malamute should be.
We wanted a dog just like him.

After a few years of waiting we finally got our first Mal, Timber, in 1996.........a very special day.  A year later we were to finally get our 'Boomer' grand-daughter, Kina.

Both Timber & Kina were the start of a life-changing experience and one that has introduced us to so many dear friends all over the world.

Our Malamutes are, first and foremost, much loved family pets and we cannot emphasise this enough.  They live in our home with us and our cats as part of our family, so good temperaments are essential.  Our Malamutes are worked in harness, shown at conformation shows, obedience trained and take part in agility, plus lots of other activities.

Sharon judges Malamutes, is approved by the UK Kennel Club to award CC's at Championship show level in the UK, and is on the AMCUK Breed Specialist Judges A List.  She also judges the breed internationally, and has judged at Specialty shows both in Europe and the USA.
She is also on the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain, Scottish Siberian Husky Club and Greenland Dog Club of Great Britain, judging list's.
She has passed many Judging/Conformation/Health & Breed assessments and seminars, both here and abroad......you never stop learning!

As well as serving two terms on the committee of the AMCUK, Sharon was the secretary of Newark & District Canine Society - having been a committee member since 2006 - is the breed note writer for Dog World newspaper and is a Member of the UK Kennel Club.
